Privacy at SENS7

The controller for processing personal data is SENS7 bei maetzener.eu, Michael Mätzener, Herrengasse 12, 6430 Schwyz, Switzerland.

Data we process

• Registration data for ticketing, entry, event communication and optional interest profiles.
• Contact and exhibitor enquiries, to process the respective request.
• Newsletter: your e-mail address, your language and the time of sign-up and confirmation.
• Exhibitors: company and contact details, stand requests and correspondence about participation.
• Technical logs for operation, security and troubleshooting.
• Analytics or marketing data only after the relevant cookie or consent choice.
• Ticket app: when you open your ticket as an app from the home screen, we store the date and time of the first and the latest start, so the organiser can see that the ticket is ready on the phone. Your saved list and stored pages stay on your device.
• Notifications: if you allow notifications in the app, we store your device's address at its push service (Apple, Google or Mozilla) to send you updates from the organiser. You can turn notifications off in the app at any time.

Purposes

We process personal data for these purposes:

• Running SENS7: registration, ticket, admission, ticket app and messages about the event (confirmation, reminder, programme changes).
• Handling exhibitor, contact and media enquiries.
• Further communication after the event: with your consent, we inform you by e-mail about future SENS7 events, news and offers from SENS7.
• Planning and improving future events based on aggregated evaluations, such as visitor numbers, industries and interests.
• Operation, security and error analysis of the website.

Communication after the event

You give your consent to further communication by ticking the corresponding box when you register or by signing up for the newsletter. You confirm it via a link in an e-mail (double opt-in). Every e-mail contains an unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw your consent at any time, including informally by e-mail to info@sens7.ch. Without your consent, we only send you messages that are necessary for your participation.

Sharing with exhibitors

We do not sell or rent your data. If you have your QR code scanned at a stand, that exhibitor receives your name, company and contact details from your registration so that they can get in touch with you. The exhibitor is then responsible for any further processing. Without a scan, we do not pass your data on to exhibitors.

Service providers and disclosure abroad

These service providers process data only on our behalf:

• Hosting, database and e-mail delivery: tophost, with a data centre in Switzerland.
• App notifications: the push service of your device or browser (Apple, Google or Mozilla). Only your device address is transmitted, not the content of the notification.
• Newsletter: we may use Mailchimp (Intuit Inc., USA) for sending. Data is transferred to the USA on the basis of appropriate safeguards (Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses).
• Links to YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and Google Maps only open these providers' pages when you click on them. Their privacy policies apply there.

Cookies and statistics

We need essential cookies for login, security and your cookie choice. We only use statistics with your consent in the cookie banner; the analysis runs on our own server, without Google Analytics. Fonts and images are loaded from our server. You can change your choice at any time via «Cookie settings» in the footer.

Retention

We keep participant data beyond the event in order to plan future SENS7 events and – with your consent – to invite you to them. You can ask us to delete your data at any time. We store newsletter subscriptions until you unsubscribe and e-mail delivery logs for 90 days. Data we must keep for legal reasons, such as accounting records relating to exhibitors, is deleted once the statutory period has expired.

Legal bases

We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR): to carry out your participation (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), with your consent (point a), to comply with legal obligations (point c) and on the basis of our legitimate interest in a secure website and in planning future events (point f).

Your rights

You can request information about your data, have it corrected, deleted or handed over to you, and withdraw any consent at any time. Please write to info@sens7.ch. You can also lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or the data protection authority in your country.
